Laiken Whittredge (she/her) is a versatile artist based in the Catskill Mountain/Hudson Valley region of New York. With a wide array of creative skills, she delves into photography, pottery, screen printing, collage, and mixed media to craft her unique works.

After earning her Bachelors in Fine Art from SUNY Oneonta, Laiken's professional journey has been as diverse as her mediums - from working in the tourism marketing world, running her own wedding photography business, being a professional production manager for a small screen printing company, to now working in the arts non-profit world. Laiken was member of The Smithy Clay Studio from 2019 - 2023, and had been both a dedicated volunteer and a pottery instructor and enjoys teaching beginners. She currently is the Artists-in-Residence Manager of the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild in Woodstock, NY. 

Laiken's art is deeply rooted in themes of womanhood, mental health, gender, and relationships. She finds joy in creating functional pottery pieces and has developed a unique approach using her own underglaze transfers through screen printing.

When she's not immersed in her art, Laiken can be found in the company of her two cats, Chips & Pickles, doing improv, and getting a little silly with her pals.
